🎉 Congratulations to PSE alumnus Matthew Tirrell ’77!
Matt has been named the 2025 CNS Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. This honor celebrates alumni who exemplify visionary leadership, service, teaching, innovation, and accomplishments that positively shape society. As Dean Fox shared:

“Over four decades in higher education, Dr. Tirrell has not only been a scientific pioneer in polymer and materials sciences, but also a visionary leader for the field. He has chartered new areas in molecular engineering and led multiple institutions to top national and global rankings. His contributions are unparalleled, and we are incredibly proud to call him an alumnus of our Polymer Science and Engineering program.”
