    A study led by the UNC Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center sought to better understand how improving workforce training might improve care for an aging population. School to establish advanced standing program for online MSW students 

The School of Social Work recently established an advanced standing online MSW program for working professionals pursuing a graduate degree. The program, led by 12-Month Advanced Standing MSW Program Director Tauchiana Williams, will receive applications starting in August and welcome its first cohort of 25 students in April 2026.

Doctoral student establishes pilot program for housing assistance in Brazil 

The second-year doctoral student at the School of Social Work is still working to find solutions to address one of society’s most intractable problems. Daher was recently awarded a Prestigious Outside Fellowship Award from the Government of Brasilia for her project establishing a vulnerability index to prioritize housing for low-income families.
