Concentration Fee

Students who are accepted into and choose to enroll in one of the school’s concentrations will be charged an additional fee equivalent to four credits, based on the current per-credit tuition rate of $2,071. If a student decides to withdraw from a concentration after the first term, they will not be charged the fee for subsequent terms; however, fees already paid are non-refundable.

Tuition Deposit

A nonrefundable tuition deposit of $600 is required to secure a place in the entering class upon acceptance of an admission offer. For students who matriculate, $300 of this fee will be applied as a credit toward fall-term tuition. New students who received a waiver for the acceptance fee will not receive a credit for the fee amount.

Health Insurance

The University requires hospitalization insurance for all students. Students will be billed $3,422 in 2025-2026 for single-student hospitalization/specialty coverage with Yale Health. This fee may be waived with proof of alternative coverage for each year of enrollment. For more information on the waiver process, see here.

Other Fees & Costs

Additional service fees may be charged for late registration, course schedule changes after the add/drop period, Internet connectivity from a Yale residence hall, and/or late return of library materials.

Estimated Cost of Attendance (GEPN/MSN)

The Cost of Attendance (COA) for Yale School of Nursing reflects the estimated expenses a student may incur during the academic year. It includes both direct, billed costs - such as tuition, program fees, and Yale Health coverage - and indirect, non-billed costs that can vary by individual circumstances.

Indirect costs are estimates of typical living expenses for YSN students, including housing, food, books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. While these costs are not charged by Yale, they are important to consider when planning your budget and determining financial aid eligibility. Your actual expenses may differ depending on your housing choices, travel needs, and personal spending habits.
