All students studying in person on campus must pay the UNCG fees; fees are managed by UNCG, not INTERLINK. These fees give students access to services on campus such as the writing center, athletic events, the student health center, and other student support services.
F-1 Student Requirements
F-1 students are required to study full-time. Please note that you will need to pay for your first full level (two 5-week terms) before classes start.
Student Health Insurance: Travel insurance is not the same as health insurance. INTERLINK requires students who are studying on an F-1 visa and their dependents to have health insurance. Travel insurance is designed for people traveling to cover cancellations, personal belongings and only emergency medical treatment, whereas international health insurance is designed to cover inpatient treatment check-ups and continuing treatment of chronic conditions abroad.

Housing and Meal Plans:
If you are planning on staying in the UNCG dormitories, please let us know as soon as possible. On-campus housing must be confirmed at least 15 weeks prior to the start of the program. On campus housing is in high demand and UNCG may not have dorm housing available. All students who choose to live in the dorms during the academic year (August – May) must also choose a meal plan, which can be used at the on-campus dining hall. Pricing varies depending on the type of room and meal plan you choose.
For more information, contact INTERLINK office staff or visit the UNCG housing website to view the residence halls.
INTERLINK does not provide assistance for off-campus housing
