Doctor of Philosophy in Theology (Ph.D.)

The University of Notre Dame is an internationally renowned center for advanced study in theology and its related disciplines. As a Ph.D. student at Notre Dame, you will be mentored by world-class scholars, access vast research and learning opportunities, and experience both depth and diversity in your curriculum. You will belong to a community of students coming from both a wide range of churches and other faith traditions who are preparing for careers in research, teaching, and church service.

The doctoral program places a high percentage of its graduates in academic positions, the majority of which are tenure track.

History of Christianity (HC)
