ACT（American College Test，美国大学入学考试，俗称“美国高考”），为美国各大学申请入学的重要参考条件之一。尽管ACT目前在国内的流行程度不及SAT，但在美国这两种考试却是被同等看待的。另外，ACT由于包含有科学考试部分，本身注重对中学课程知识的掌握，因此上，ACT本身是不需要科目考试的，这点与SAT不同——不少美国大学除了需要SAT推理测验（SATⅠ）外，还需要有SAT科目测验（SATⅡ）。

考试内容

ACT考试分英语（English）、数学（Mathematics）、阅读（Reading）、科学（Science）、写作（Writing）五个部分，前4部分总分则称综合（Composite）。其中写作为选考，但也有不少学校要求申请者提供写作成绩。除写作外，其余考试部分全部为选择题。

写作（可选）	1篇	30分钟	Measures writing skills emphasized in high school English classes and in entry-level college composition courses.

考试时间

ACT每年有五次考试，分别是每年的2月、4月、6月、10月和12月，其中2月和6月的考试不含写作部分的。

报考费150美元（不含写作）或166.5美元（含写作），包含4所学校成绩递送，而后每加送一所学校需13美元。*(5)

考试地点

ACT考试在国内设有考点,但是目前只对完成GAC预科课程或者是与ACT签约的中学的学生开放。其它考生需到香港或者新加坡等地方考试。*(4)
